Acolytes
The acolytes assist at the altar during the Sunday 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
services. Any one in the sixth grade or above is invited to join. Special
training is needed.
Altar
Guild
The Altar Guild prepares the altar before all services, and cares for
the linens, altar hangings and vestments.
Children's Ministry
Team
The Children's Ministry Team coordinates and oversees all activities
involving the children of the Parish, including the Church School, Christmas
Pageant, and Summer Celebration.
Choir
The Adult Choir performs at the 10 a.m.
Sunday service and for special services during Christmas, Holy Week
and Easter. The choir performs a variety of both traditional and contemporary
music. Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
The Children's Choir (Pre-K
through 8th grade) rehearses directly after the 10 a.m. service on Sundays. Children are invited
to join.
Church School
Church School is held at 10 a.m. on Sunday morning for preschool through
5th grade.
Greeters
The greeters welcome newcomers at all services. They answer questions
and provide information at the front door of the church both before
and afer the service. Special training is needed.
Healing Ministry
A monthly healing service is held the first Tuesday of the month at
7 p.m. The members of the healing teams pray for those who come to the
altar for anointing and healing prayer.
Lay Eucharistic
Ministers
The LEM's lead portions of the service and administer the chalice at
the Eucharist. They must be confirmed or received in the Episcopal Church
and licensed by the Bishop.

Visitors
The LEV's carry communion to members of the Parish who are home bound
at the end of the 10 a.m. Sunday service. They must be confirmed or
received in the Episcopal Church and licensed by the Bishop.
Outreach
St. Luke's provides various opportunities for outreach to the surrounding
community. One Friday a month over 200 meals are prepared and served
at the Mustard Seed, the Homeless Vets Shelter and Abby's House. Once
a year work projects are held at a Habitat for Humanity work site. The
church also tithes 10% of its income for financial contributions to
local, national and international groups and agencies that workwith
the disadvantaged.
Readers
This group reads the first Bible lesson and leads the Prayers of the
People at services.
Small Groups
Monday evening -- This group meets Mondays at 7 p.m. for Bible
Study.
Wednesday morning -- This women's group meets Wednesdays at 9:30
a.m. for Bible study or book discussion.
Youth Group
The Youth Group meets Sundays at 4 p.m. Anyone in 6th grade or above
is invited to attend.
