All laypersons are invited to participate in this workshop designed for those given special responsibilities in your parish for leading and designing worship. As more parishes find themselves without a priest, either unexpectedly or on a regular basis; laypersons are called to gather their parish community for Sunday worship. This involves more than just opening the prayerbook and leading morning prayer. This workshop is designed to help laypersons take on these new responsibilities "grace-fully" and offer an inspired worship experience for the parish. We will offer discussions, resources, and helpful guidelines for the following topics:
This is an over-night workshop, beginning on Friday, October 1 at 7PM and ending on Saturday, October 2nd at 3:30PM. The cost for a single room, and two meals is $111 ($96 each for a double room.) If you chose to commute, the cost is $40 which includes lunch. You must register by September 25th with a pre-registration deposit of $25; payable to the Diocese of Western Massachusetts. Registration is important for making reservations at Genesis Center and for the preparation of useful materials for participants.
